🥦Stubborn. Nothing stops him when he's put his mind to something.
🥦Kind. Izuku can't help himself from helping others. Even when it's almost guaranteed that the hand he reaches out to someone will be bitten, he has to help.
🥦Desperate. There is nothing hinged about how this kid does anything. Any other trait of his should have this as a descriptor to it. He's desperately stubborn. He's desperately kind. He will carve pieces of himself away if it means making a difference in a single moment and forcing the world to bend to his idea of saving someone. There is a literal fight wherein he wins by hurting himself faster than someone can rewind his body. He permanently disfigured his hand just to make one classmate get his head out of his ass. Nothing is off the table with this kid.
🥦Low Self-Esteem. Izuku could cure cancer and he would refuse to attribute any of his success to his own will and power. He sees everything good he's ever given as something borrowed, because he sees himself as beneath the people around him.
🥦Passionate. When Izuku decides something, he puts all of his heart into that thing. He doesn't half-ass any of it.
🥦Obsessive. If Izuku likes something, he will know every detail of that thing to the point that it scares people. His room is a shrine to his hero. He made an entire rescue plan around knowing who Bakugou would actually accept help from. When he cares, he cares way too much. He makes it work for him, though.
🥦Empathetic. Izuku is insanely good at reading people's patterns and moods, and he picks up on changes to these things in an instant. From his exposure to the pressure of society and harboring a dream he thought he would never physically have a chance at, he's got a lot of sobering experiences to relate to others with.

AU History: Izuku has grown up with an awareness of the Spirit Realm, as he was very young when he got his first memories of his past life. He's grown up alongside his past self, in a way, dreaming and remembering things he knows he didn't experience himself; it's honestly what starts his obsessive journaling. He keeps the timeline straight, as much as he can, writing down every detail he remembers and how he felt in those flashes. And that skill, grown from an early age, is how he manages to get steered toward POKEGO. He's clearly remembered things, he's clearly seeing things, and Izuku isn't good at hiding things--as a kid, it was POKEGO or get picked up by TBO.
Once in POKEGO, he met his Hawlucha. He was an easily-bullied kid, so having a friend that encouraged him to be stronger was a blessing. It also helped curb his attention toward the Spirit Realms, learning about more pokemon in the process. All of his focus has been on acquiring more knowledge, and POKEGO was the perfect place to let that part of him grow.
Since he's wanted for years to explore more Spirit Realms, and not just the ones related to pokemon, he's worked with long-distance family to get moved to Kaisou to be on the ground where all the craziest stuff keeps happening. He's a researcher through and through, and his attention to detail has made him pretty invaluable to any teams he's on!
AU Personality Differences: Not actually having a dedicated bully from age 4 has been a double-edged sword. On one hand, he has a slightly easier time talking to people. On the other hand, he is nowhere near as skilled at handling his anxiety when it crops up, or deescalating a situation. He's got some memories of doing some crazy dangerous stuff, sure, but as stated before: if Izuku is good at anything, it's attributing his positive traits to the people around him. That past life sure was brave!
